ABOUT
MYSELF
My name is Rudolph Arthur Hernandez; or just Rudy. I'm a father, looking to be a local leader in programming and computer science, but my interests also include nutrition, and olympic weightlifting. As a self-taught, aspring, web developer and designer for five years now, I've only recently sought to truly commit myself, document progress, and complete my career transition away from the warehouses that have comprised my work experience. Coding, and programming logic have been a passion of mine from adolesence but with little guidance and mentoring I have yet to outwardly live up to it until now.
WHAT I'VE DONE
Since late 2016 the majority of my experience has focused on JavaScript and it's abundance of APIs and frameworks. Front-end frameworks such as React, Vue, moving forward with Angular. Back-end experience with Node, and Express, to build simple RESTful APIs, routing, and middleware functionality with MongoDB. I also have experiences PHP, CodeIgniter, and Laravel frameworks, which extend to RBDMS as well as NoSQL, and LAMP/LEMP stacks as well as MERN. These experiences include configuring and deploying work using these stacks on shared hosting, and Digital Ocean using sftp, and secure shell.
WHAT I DO
In October of 2016, I put together a site which saved Patterson Indoor Soccer, a community indoor athetic facility, at least $1000 in quoted development work by donating my efforts to their local mission. Previously I had also created a site for the local parish which was later chosen to be redesigned by another party a few years after, and committed to the FreeCodeCamp beta curriculum at the beginning of 2017. At present, I am looking to take on a developer role where I can grow, and in the meantime, looking to contribute to Open Source and Non-Profit company websites, and applications.
